Over the past three years, a man known as “Illinois Slim” created quite possibly the coolest way ever to smoke meat.
Slim’s son shared the impressive engineering on Reddit and explained that every part was created from scratch by his dad. Slim admits in the video that the first two years of assembly were slow going. However, just like the chicken he can now cook to perfection, it was well worth the wait.
The number at the front is in reference to the old country song, “Wreck of the Old 97,” which details the crash of an old postal train in the early 1900s.

His son admits he’s not sure where the bell came from, but when his dad gets the whole train revving, it tends to make the neighborhood dogs bark like crazy. This is probably because they want some of that great looking BBQ!
