When most people see a decrepit barn, they don’t think much of it. Old barns are a dime a dozen in rural parts of the U.S. But, rather than ignoring the once grand structures, one man saw opportunity. He gathered some reclaimed barn wood and created something new and modern. Now, he has a piece of history as a part of his home. Check out the project below.
The barn wood was taken from a barn built in 1899 in Arnold, Missouri.
The wood was arranged into a frame before sanding and staining.
After staining…
Clamps were attached to glue the table together.
Check out the finished product!
The modern legs are made of welded steel.
What an awesome way to make something new out of something old.

Think of how much you could make from products we’d normally dismiss, and how many resources we could save. Did this inspire you to recycle something old?
