This Homeowner Was Told To Take Down This Unique Nativity Set

Jasen Dixon, a business owner from a town right outside of Ohio, is getting a lot of flack from his community. He refuses to remove his unique take on the classic nativity scene, one that depicts Mary, Joseph, and the wise men as undead corpses. Dixon, who owns a local haunted house attraction called “13 Rooms of Doom,” defended his artistic choice, saying, “I wanted a Nativity and I worked with what I had.”

What he had were 4 decaying zombies and one baby zombie representing you know who.

As you can see, Dixon’s version of the nativity scene is a little more grim than most.

A not-too-subtle stylistic choice for the star.

The ever-changing lights give it an even eerier presence on his Ohio street.

Technically, the town’s problems with the set doesn’t stem from concerns of blasphemy. It’s just too big. Legally, Dixon can’t have a structure in his yard that’s longer than 35% of the home itself.

Still, Dixon maintains the blowback he’s received wouldn’t have happened if this were a “pretty” nativity scene.

The town says that Dixon will be penalized if he doesn’t take it down by December 26. Which, I mean, by that point who even cares?

He personally can’t see why his figurines might frighten the neighbors.

What do you think? Does Dixon need to take down his nativity scene from Hell? Or is he in his own special way showing enthusiasm for the season?
