These Animals Are Knee-Deep In The Flu Season And It’s Terribly Cute

The term “sick as a dog” doesn’t come from thin air. With the flu hitting us humans strong this winter, we know the struggle of being bed-ridden well. Cuddling a box of tissues, wishing that we eat anything other than saltines, ginger ale, and OJ. It’s no fun for anyone to have the flu, and that includes our animal counterparts.

1. Keep that Kleenex nearby, little guy.

2. “One second I’m freezing, the next I’m on fire, and then I’m asleep.”

3. Ah, I know that feeling: When you don’t think you’ll ever be able to stop blowing your nose.

4. “Bury me in sheets and blankets, please.”

5. “Blankies are the only thing I care about right now.”

6. This guy cleaned out the cold and flu isle at the local PetSmart.

7. “Ugh, I told you I don’t feel good. Pleeeease leave me and my tissues alone!”

8. “More tissues, please.”

9. “Mooooooom, can you bring me another pillow? I don’t have enough. I need all of them. All of the pillows.”

10. How’s that tea working for you?

11. Being sick together is always better.

12. Bless you!

13. Gesundheit!

14. Cover your snoot next time, please.

15. At least this pup is using his sick days to catch up on some light reading in bed.

16. Cough drops can help make your throat feel better.

17. Get all those good vitamins fighting against that flu!

18. “I just had the weirdest sick dream ever!”

19. “Can’t get up to the table. Must eat dinner from my belly. I don’t care if I spill all over myself, I am already a mess of congestion and cold sweats.”

“A little stray cat chow won’t really make a difference.”

20. “Sorry, did I just see a little man come through the window, or is that the medication talking?”

21. “We are the tissues. Become one with the Kleenex. Kleenex is our one and only friend.”

22. “Can you be tired of being in bed? Because I am.”

23. “I’m wrapping myself in layers of sadness and hoping this is all over soon.”

24. “Can you just pull this over my butt, please? That’d be a huge help.”

25. “Wait, guys, what? Did you find more tissues yet?”

We feel your pain, guys. I hope you all feel better soon, and that the tissues are plentiful until that bright sunny day when we nip this season’s flu in the bud.

Remember to wash your paws often, eat healthy, and stay home if you’re feeling under the weather.
