One Man Built A Custom, Shark-Themed Crib For His Little Nephew

When a new baby is born, everyone gets excited. Friends and family often want to help out the parents. Most family members would do anything they can to make sure the parents and their child are as comfortable as possible. Some give gifts from registries, others bring food or offer their babysitting services, and still others get creative and make gifts.

Joseph Reginella, who sculpts toys and set props for a living, decided to make his two-month-old nephew a crib. But this wasn’t just any regular old crib. Inspired by the movie Jaws, Reginella created an awesomely themed crib that will most definitely stay in the family. Sure, it’s a little scary, but it’s also a lot of fun. And I’m sure his nephew will one day be really glad his uncle made it for him.

Reginella made this crazy crib so it would look as if the baby was getting swallowed by Jaws.

Here’s the little guy relaxing – see it’s not so scary after all.

The rest of the family really liked the shark crib too.

This crib is one size fits many: The family cat took a liking to it, too.

Not a lot of people can say that they slept in a crib this cool, creative, and hilarious when they were babies. Even if you don’t have a dark sense of humor, you can still appreciate the amount of skill and craft that went into creating this. It’s all in good fun. Now, I wonder if he can make regular size beds like this…
