It’s impossible to imagine what kind of heartless person could be responsible for the cruelty suffered by a poor dog, recently found in Georgia. The culprit is obviously lacking any shred of kindness or humanity. She was found tied up so tight that her head was swollen and she couldn’t breath easily or swallow.
She had clearly been abused before being abandoned and, thankfully, discovered by two kind strangers.

The rope around her neck was barely large enough to hold a ponytail.

When her rescuers attempted to give her some food and water, she couldn’t get anything down.

Animal services picked her up and began treating her wounds.

Now going by the name Cheers, her swelling has gone down and she is receiving care and shelter at Second Chance Rescue in New York City.

There is no excuse for treating an animal with such extreme cruelty. Hopefully, authorities will be able to find the jerks responsible for Cheers’ traumatic former life.
