Let’s face it. Americans don’t know as much about Sweden as they should. Sure, you might be familiar with Robyn or ABBA, but the overall consensus in the States about Swedish art and culture is that it’s “happy” and “cheerful.”
…which makes this new video from Sweden all the more jarring. It combines bright colors and a catchy pop tune with…teaching children about sex. Yes, this video explains the birds and the bees in the most bizarre (yet digestible) form possible.

Even if you don’t speak Swedish, you get the gist of it. However, please don’t walk away with the idea that Swedish art prominently features dancing genitalia. This video was an educational outreach for children.
