Although most of the Western hemisphere is bundled up for the chilly weather, high temperatures and sticky humidity are just around the corner (fingers crossed!). Air conditioners can take massive amounts of electricity to run, pumping up the price on your utility bill, and using unnecessary energy. One YouTuber and engineer found a solution to this problem with a solar-powered air conditioner. All he used was a five gallon bucket, styrofoam, a fan, PVC pipes, a solar panel, and ice. It’s amazing what someone with the know-how can do with simple items almost everyone has in their garage. More importantly, this video has me counting down the days until the next July heat wave. Is it summer yet?!
