If you’ve ever wished that there was a place where you could freely mingle with a bunch of adorable friendly foxes, your heaven on earth exists. Just head over to the Zao Fox Village in the Miyagi Prefecture of Japan. Since its opening in 1990, the village allows visitors to roam and play with countless pretty foxes.
It’s home to the silver fox, platinum fox, and the Japanese red fox. Each and every one of them is absolutely adorable.
Thankfully, there isn’t a “Don’t Feed The Animals” sign in sight, so feel free to purchase some snacks for 10 yen.
Or, you can take a rest on this bench, next to a cute little guy taking an afternoon nap.
Hungry, pretty fox?
Or do you just want some pets?
Don’t run out of those snacks, though, or else you’ll get some sneeringly harsh glances from the guys you didn’t feed.
The village is a great opportunity to practice that nature photography hobby you spent thousands of dollars on.
Nice shot, maybe you have a future in this after all?!
Feeding frenzy!
Ahhh, that sunshine feels nice, huh?
Just a cutie with a nice salt and pepper coat saying “hello” to a visitor.
Feel free to make as many fox friends as you can while you’re here!
Inari, the Shinto deity of wealth, prosperity, and rice, has a shrine on premises, as foxes are the diety’s messengers.
“I totally wasn’t following you…”
It’s like they know exactly how photogenic they are.
While a lot of the foxes are good with humans, you must remember that they’re still wild animals.
See? That one foxie is biting that silly soldier’s fingers!
As much as you may want to, be careful to not wake the napping foxes. You could catch them off guard and ignite their wild tendencies.
Ugh, so cute.
“Snacks, please!”
