.) Wrap gifts at lightening speed by placing your gift on the paper diagonally. Watch the video below to see how it’s done.
.) Low on wrapping paper? Use a potato chip bag to wrap gifts. Pour the chips into a large ziplock bag. Flip the chip bag inside out and wipe off food crumbs before wrapping the gift. The finished product looks shiny and sleek. It’s also an eco-friendly way to save paper.
.) Here’s another eco-friendly trick for when you’re low on paper. Wrap gifts in old scraps of fabric. This is also known as furoshiki, a traditional Japanese gift wrapping technique.
.) Recycle paper grocery bags as gift wrap. Not only is it easy and cheap, but it also gives your gifts a rustic style.
.) Turn a cereal box into a gift box in a few easy steps to save cash and a trip to the store.
.) If a present is oddly shaped, try to wrap it like a piece of candy. Just set it on top of a few pieces of tissue paper, pull the sides over the gift and tie it with a ribbon.
.) Recycle old magazines by folding them into gift bows.
.) Did you save your ribbons from last year? Remove the wrinkles by rubbing the ribbon on a warm lightbulb.
.) Double-stick tape is great for wrapping gifts. It saves time, tape (and money), and keeps tape inside the wrapping, out of sight.
.) When you’re finished wrapping, keep rolls of paper from unfurling with a toilet paper role. Cover it in tin foil to keep it festive.
Voila!
.) If you’re short on space, store gift wrap compactly with a garment bag.
